Mirelis Acosta-Rivera M.D. Dr. Mirelis Acosta-Rivera is a Board-Certified Oncologist, subspecializing in Hematology with 9 years of research experience as a Primary Investigator. Dr. Acosta-Rivera is a published physician with extensive Oncology data management experience, currently holds position as the Chief Medical Officer of the FDI site, and is an active advocate for the ethnic/rural populations in Puerto Rico. Dr. Acosta-Rivera has remained an active investigator and participant in over 28 varying research trials. Among the numerous trial indications, she has led trials for top Sponsors, in all trial phases. Ranging through Metastatic Head and Neck cancer, Metastatic Urothelial Cancer, Myelodysplastic Syndromes, Colorectal Cancer, Chronic Pain related to Cancer, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Lung Cancer, among several other indications, Dr. Acosta-Rivera proves to be an expert within her specialty.

James Andersen, M.D. - Dr. James Andersen is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician, subspecializing in Addiction Medicine, with over 15 years of research experience. His expertise extends to various medical conditions including Infectious diseases, Addiction, ADHD, Cardiology, Depression, Dermatology, Device, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Hypertension, Lipids, Musculoskeletal, Neurology, Renal, Alzheimer’s Disease, Smoking Cessation, Urology, and Vaccine. He has completed over 230 clinical trials as a principal investigator. Additionally, he served as medical director for two facilities operated by Bridges of America. Dr. Andersen is a Fellow in the American Society of Addition Medicine and a Diplomate with the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is a former medical review officer, AAMRO, and diplomate, emeritus, of the American Board of Family Practice. He also formerly served for two, three-year terms as director of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Andersen is currently the Medical Director of Lakeland Centres, opioid treatment program and has a private practice in addiction medicine.  

Dr. Shannon Conrad is a board certified family physician, investigator and research physician with Alcanza Clinical Research. She received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has practiced in both Family Medicine and Urgent Care and currently works full time as a principal investigator in clinical research. Her areas of expertise in research include general medicine, weight loss medicine, vaccine trials, and cardiovascular studies.

Dr. Aaron Ellenbogen D.O- Dr. Aaron Ellenbogen is a Board-Certified Neurologist with nearly 100 clinical trials completed. With 22+ years of research experience and 76 publications, he is now a KOL in his field, Movement Disorder Specialist, published physician, and active member of MDS. Through his years of experience, Dr. Ellenbogen has remained committed to the advancement of medicine for targeted diverse patient populations. Within his trial conduction portfolio, he has conducted trials among a plethora of therapeutic areas/trial indications. Among these, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, MS, Pain Management, DPNP, and others.

Karen Figueredo-Reyes M.D (MAIN PI) Dr. Karen Figueredo-Reyes is a Board-Certified Family Physician with over 23 years of clinical research experience. During her time participating in research trials, she has conducted over 90 trials in her 9 years at the Innovation Medical Research Center of Palmetto Bay. Dr. Figueredo-Reyes is a bilingual PI in English and Spanish. Thus, she avidly aids the research site in maintaining a more diverse patient population within their already well-established database. Additionally, Dr. Figueredo-Reyes maintains her amazing integrated 6 private practice network within the surrounding area, which supports all the clinical trials activities at IMRC, along with their investigators team covering 10 different clinical areas of specialization such as Neurology, Nephrology, Psychiatry, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Podiatry, Pulmonology, Internal Medicine, Cosmetic Surgery, and Gastroenterology. She and the site are well trained and experienced in ICF execution, ePRO training, protocol understanding for patient presentation, IP dosing versatility, protocol procedure/assessment compliance, data integrity, and overall patient care. Within less than a decade at IMRC, Dr. Karen Figueredo-Reyes remains consistent in emphasizing a personal importance for the quality held between Patient Health and Clinical Research conduction care.

Over the past 20+ years, Dr. Freilich and his team at KCRI have conducted more than 330 clinical trials, focusing on more than 20 different disease areas. KCRI has been instrumental in the processes it takes to bring new treatments to the public. Without physicians like Dr. Freilich and places like KCRI, many treatments may never receive FDA approval or be available to you.

Luis Hernandez-Rosado, M.D. (MAIN PI) Dr. Luis Hernandez-Rosado is a Board-Certified Internist, started his research career in Miami in 2014, and with over 10 years of research experience has become well versed in studies of various indications. Dr. Hernandez-Rosado has participated in over 60+ trials ranging from Dermatology, Endocrinology, Urology, Cardiology, Rheumatology, and other specializations. He has previous research publications focused on Cardiology/Heart Disease/Diabetes Mellitus, among other literature. As a PI at Innovation, Dr. Hernandez-Rosado has quickly built a growing research portfolio, having participated in the conduction of trials with major pharmaceutical Sponsors.

Dr. Rosario Hidalgo is a principal investigator and sub-investigator at Accel Research Sites’ St. Petersburg-Largo location. She joined Accel Research Sites in 2021. She has been conducting CNS clinical trials since 1998. Her areas of expertise include mood disorders (bipolar disorder, depression, TRD), all the anxiety disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia and others. Dr. Hidalgo has clinical research experience both at academic institutions (Duke University 1998-2005 and University of South Florida 2006-2012) as well as in private research sites. At USF she rose to the position of director of the Depression and Anxiety Research Institute (DARI) from 2010 to 2012. Since 2012, she has been the medical director of Tampa Comprehensive Psychiatry, LLC and continued to be involved in clinical research in private sites. Dr. Hidalgo obtained her medical degree at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina and completed her general psychiatry residency at Duke University with a fellowship in clinical psychopharmacology with the Duke-GlaxoSmithKline program. Dr. Hidalgo is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the Florida Psychiatric Association. She has over 16 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Hidalgo volunteers at the Judeo Christian Health Clinic providing free psychiatric care to the working poor of Tampa Bay.

Michael Hoffmann M.D. - Dr. Michael Hoffmann is both an M.D. and PhD and is board-certified in Neurology and a Diplomate in Electroencephalography and Neurophysiology. Aside from having practiced medicine for over 35 years across 3 continents, Dr Hoffmann has been involved in research for the last 12 years. He joins our team of 4 providers with 32 previous research studies conducted, 15 as PI. As an advocate for education, Dr Hoffmann received an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Department of Neurology/Internal Medicine at the University of Central Florida in 2019. His passion for the advancement of medicine is palpable and Dr Hoffmann truly embodies the drive for clinical research conduct.

Dr. Sarah A. Holder is a principal investigator at Accel Research Sites. Dr. Holder has over 30 years of experience in private practice as an OB/GYN and joined Accel Research Sites in 2021. Her areas of expertise include OB/GYN and women’s health studies. Prior to joining Accel, Dr. Holder spent 10 years working in research with IC Research. Dr. Holder received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit.  Her residency in OB/GYN was completed at St. Joseph-Mercy Hospital and The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Kristen Holtz D.O Dr. Kristen Holtz is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician since 2021 and newly joined PI within Alcanza in 2024. Although having commenced her research career with Alcanza in 2024, Dr. Holtz comes well versed in over 130 rating scales and has Sub-I experience in 22+ trials. Dr. Holtz's experience ranges throughout ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Obesity, Migraines, Hypertension, Diabetes, Vaccine Development, Pain Management, Preventative Care, Women's Health, among other therapeutic criteria. In a very short time, Dr. Holtz has quickly adapted to the Charlottesville Medical Research Center practices, where she is joined by Dr. James Clark, CMO and KOL for Alcanza Clinical Research. With the well experienced staff, multi-therapeutic equipped facility, and diverse patient database, Dr. Holtz is looked to for her crucial expertise to help advance the established clinical practices.

William Hurtado-Santiago M.D. Dr. William Hurtado-Santiago is a double Board-Certified Internist and Nephrologist with a passion for research. He has been practicing medicine since 2005 and has remained an academic. Moving into community-based research, Dr Hurtado's site offers fibroscans to any person at no cost. Daily, the site completes anywhere between 3 to 5 fibroscans, centralizing this data for future trial opportunities. Collaborating with local practices, this site in Puerto Rico offers alternative medicines to a large rural Hispanic patient population. As the site's primary Principal Investigator, Medical Director, and published physician, Dr. Hurtado spends a majority of his time educating the site's underrepresented community within clinical trials that can provide the population with medical accessibilities that would otherwise not be available without his targeted approach to specific medicinal needs. His insight to the specific surrounding population needs has quickly aided the site with enrollment successes while benefiting the patient population simultaneously. Among his growing experience within Internal Medicine and Nephrology specialized clinical trials, the site has participated in indications such as CKD, NASH/MASH, Fatty Liver Disease, Cirrhosis, Metabolic Disorders, HIV, Liver Fibrosis, Vaccines, among other indications.

Dr. Nicole Jensen M.D Dr. Nicole Jensen is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician. Although new to the Alcanza network, Dr. Jensen comes well experienced in clinical research. She is a published physician, experienced in a number of rating scales, and has conducted trials within Cardiology, Endocrinology/Metabolic, Musculoskeletal, Immunology, among others. With her experience, Dr. Jensen brings Charlottesville Medical Research the opportunity for a greater opportunity to broaden the sites experience. Given the extensive capabilities of the site, they are well equipped for conduction of trials within Phases 2-4.

Catherine Kramp M.D Dr. Catherine Kramp is a Board-Certified Pediatrician that has over 8 years of clinical experience and 3 years of research experience. She has been training for research with a PI containing over 22 years clinical trial experience, integrating some scales for practice within the private pediatric office they practice. Her independent clinical research site has been conducting clinical research for over 25 years and has recently expanded, doubling their original office space.

Dr. Julie Lester DPM Dr. Julie Lester is a Board-Certified Podiatrist and Foot/Ankle Surgeon with 20 years of clinical experience and 6 years of research experience. Her expertise extends to various conditions such as Onychomycosis, Plantar fasciitis, Diabetic Foot ulcers, Venus leg ulcers, Neuromas, Bunions, Bunionectomies, and Diabetic Neuropathy. Sugarland, TX is home to a 39% Asian population. Given this predominant population, the Olympus team strives for a broad view of ongoing clinical trials to ensure diverse patient trial metrics when enrolling eligible subjects. Through Dr. Lester’s specialty expertise and the site’s well experienced staff, the Olympus Clinical Research site maintains well-positioned for trial enrollment success.

Dr. Peter Lewitt M.D Dr. Peter LeWitt is a Board-Certified Neurologist with over 20 years of research experience. He has participated in over 100 clinical research trials and over 250 publications within neurology. He is a Movement Disorder Specialist and is joined by an experienced group of staff members who average 18 years of clinical trial expertise. Their independent clinical research site is in an accessible area within a diverse population. His site has a Phase 1 unit equipped for extended overnight trial participation requirements. Among Dr. Lewitt's trial indication experience is Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, movement disorders/motor fluctuations, LIDS, and others.

Dr. Antonio Mendes M.D Dr. Antonio Mendes is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician with over 38 years of clinical experience, and over 6 years of clinical research experience, and a Headache Specialist. As a now well-established Principal Investigator at the Boston Research clinic, Dr. Mendes has helped and led in the conduction of numerous trials, ranging in a vast array of therapeutic indications. Among his experience in over 60 clinical trials, he has conducted trials within Migraine, BPH, IBS, Fibromyalgia, MDD, Vaccine, DPNP, OA, and LBP, among others. His 25+ year seasoned site in Boston, MA with a diverse and dense patient population, maintains a rigorous use of methods for community outreach to aid in the growth of their robust patient database. With a dedicated clinical team as well as a separate recruitment team, the site has successfully enrolled for countless trials and upholds Alcanza's mission for inclusivity of all patient demographics.

Dr. Irina Mezhebovsky M.D Dr. Irina Mezhebovsky is a double Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Neurologist who has been practicing for over 26 years. She is a well published provider who has participated in >300 clinical research trials.  With her independent clinical research site, Boston Clinical Trials, has experience in a vast number of research assessments and an ample number of well-versed raters. As an active dual private practice physician and principal investigator, Dr. Mezhebovsky offers the research clinic the opportunity at a first-hand recruitment opportunity within her own practice's patient database. Her extensive psychiatric and neurologic experience extends throughout indications such as MDD, PTSD, SAD/GAD, Insomnia, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, OCD, Migraine Headaches, Neuralgia, among a plethora of diverse trial indications. With their dense trial experience, Dr. Mezhebovsky and her team are positioned to undertake complex trial opportunities when presented, confident in meeting enrollment goal projections while maintaining the trial’s quality and overall integrity.

Dr. Marshall L. Nash is Chief Principal Investigator at Accel Research Sites-NeuroStudies Decatur location, and Medical Director for the NeuroStudies subnetwork within Accel Research sites. Dr. Nash currently conducts and supports Phase I trials at the Accel Research sites in Florida and the Accel Research-NeuroStudies site in Decatur, Georgia. Dr. Nash has been a certified principal investigator since 2002 and has served as a PI on more than 200 clinical trials, which have enrolled over 1,000 patients. He is a board-certified neurologist since 1995, and is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, Fellow of the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. Specializing in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, migraine and stroke research, he has authored many peer-reviewed publications, been a featured speaker at several national neurology academy meetings, and holds a lifelong commitment to improving treatment options through neurology research.

Grisell Ortiz-Lasanta M.D. Dr. Grisell Ortiz-Lasanta is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with 24+ years of clinical experience. Since starting her research career in 2007, Dr. Ortiz-Lasanta has completed extensive research and publications for Hepatic studies and other indications. As a bilingual physician, she offers the ability to treat a well-versed population of patients from different ethnic backgrounds. Knowledgeable in her specialty, Dr. Ortiz-Lasanta has been successful in educating our Puerto Rico communities of research benefits and new medicinal advances, allowing the FDI site to create better relationships within the surrounding communities, and has aided in building a more profound internal patient database.

Dr. Ankit Patel M.D. Dr. Ankit Patel is a Board-Certified Neurologist with over 11 years of clinical experience and over 3 years of research experience. He has conducted a plethora of research trials within his embedded practice, within the Memorial Hermann Health System. He and his colleagues can directly transfer patients into study trials as participants. Dr. Patel takes great pride in offering his patients alternative therapies not yet readily available to all, through his consistent work in research, and work with diverse populations in Katy, TX, the site has established a 15% Asian population, and prides themselves with successful applications geared towards patient diversification.

Shailesh Patel M.D / Orthopaedics Dr. Shailesh Patel is a Board-Certified Pain Medicine specialist with experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr Patel operates within a large private orthopedic group practice with embedded research personnel. The research site has experience on over 700 clinical trials with an array of seasoned staff members. The site offers x-ray capability across the hall from the research department which allows for ease of access and convenience for patients. The orthopaedic practice also owns an outpatient surgical suite. Sub-Investigator support exists both at the orthopedic private practice as well as the full-time research site.

Dr. Ramana Puppala is a principal investigator at Accel Research Sites. He is also an attending OB/GYN physician at Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. Dr. Puppala has been a practicing OB/GYN for 18 years and came to Accel Research Sites in 2021 with 22 years of research experience as a principal investigator and sub-investigator. His areas of expertise include women’s health and gynecology, plastic surgery, dietetics, endocrinology, and more. Dr. Puppala is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He also served his country in the United States Army and was an attending OB/GYN physician with various appointments, including Fort Sill Oklahoma, and Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.

Crisitina J. Ramos-Romey M.D. Dr. Cristina Ramos-Romey is a Board-certified Geriatric Medicine and Allergy & Immunology physician, subspecializing in Internal Medicine. As a published physician she has invested time in over 19 publications for her own research in Immunology and similar specialties. With over 24 years of Clinical experience, 9 years of Research experience, and fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Ramos-Romey renders herself as a well seasoned PI, allowing her to treat a well versed population of patients from different ethnic backgrounds, and better educate our Puerto Rico communities of research benefits and new medicinal advances. Dr. Ramos-Romey has conducted research ranging through indications such as Urticaria, Asthma, Dysberic Osteonecrosis, and more.

Dr. Bruce G. Rankin is the Medical Director at Accel Research Site Deland, which conducts Phase 1-4 clinical trials. He has been in medical practice in the Deland area for over 35 years and has served as an investigator with Accel Research Sites since 1998 during which time he has conducted over 500 clinical trials. His experience includes trials for vaccines, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, cardiovascular, neurologic, arthritis, infectious disease and pain treatment indications. Dr Rankin is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (FACOFP), certified clinical investigator by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (CPI), and is a diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Medicine. He has served as past Chief of Staff at Florida Hospital Deland and is past President of the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (FSACOFP). He is a Florida Delegate to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and serves on the Executive Board for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Society (FOMA). He was awarded Physician of the Year from FOMA in 2022.

Paul Robbins M.D Dr. Paul Robbins is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, and works in a private psychiatric practice as well as our independent research site. Dr Robbins and his site have worked on 50+ research trials since 2005, with recruitment support from both the research office as well as private practice databases. Site is experienced in required scales, redirecting subjects as required, IP compliance, and management. Dr Robbins completed residency in 2001 and has been treating a multitude of psychiatric indications since.

Oscar L. Ruiz-Bermudez M.D. Dr. Oscar Ruiz-Bermudez is a Board-Certified Endocrinologist who has led and participated in studies of all phases and indications. Located in Puerto Rico, Dr Ruiz-Bermudez's independent clinical research site carries an almost exclusively Hispanic specific population. Knowledgeable in his specialty and bilingual in Spanish and English, Dr. Ruiz-Bermudez has been successful in educating our Puerto Rico communities of research benefits and new medicinal advances, allowing the FDI site to create better relationships within the surrounding communities, and has aided in building a more profound internal patient database. Within Dr. Ruiz-Bermudez's clinical trial participation he has specifically participated in trials varying through indications such as Hypertension, DPNP, Diabetes, Acute Coronary Syndromes, Dyslipidemia, among other indications.

Yellian Ruiz-Irizarry, M.D. (MAIN PI) Dr. Yellian Ruiz-Irizarry is a double Board-Certified Rheumatologist and Internal Medicine physician with over 17 years of clinical experience and 13 years of research experience. Dr. Ruiz is a medical director of the Miami Institute of Rheumatology and has participated in 48+ clinical trials ranging through Rheumatology, Dermatology, Immunology, Endocrinology, Hematology, among other criteria. Specializing in Rheumatology and being a bilingual physician, Dr. Ruiz's experience and education allow them to treat a well- versed population of patients for a vast array of clinical research trials.

Rica Santiago M.D Dr. Rica Santiago is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with over 14 years of clinical experience and over 7 years of research experience as a PI, conducting clinical research trials at our tenured research site, Coastal Carolina Research Center, which has been conducting trials within a vast range of therapeutic areas for over 16 years. Dr. Santiago's trial experiences range between Immunology, Dermatology, Metabolic, Pain Management, and sub-investigator participation within Neurology, Pediatrics, and Musculoskeletal therapeutic areas, among other criteria. Having quickly immersed herself to the site practices, Dr. Santiago has rapidly built a competitive PI portfolio while diversifying site practices with her bilingual aptitude.

Dr. Kiran Saraiya D.O Dr. Kiran Saraiya is double Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, has been practicing since 2005, and since, remained pursuant after her passion within academia. Dr. Saraiya joined Quest Research Institute in 2019, an independent clinical research site with a 24-year track record. Her site specializes in Phase 1 research and has recently doubled in space to accommodate all phases with large volume recruitment. Trained nurses average 23+ years in research, lending to knowledge in dosing, observation, AE documenting, reporting, and subject diary training. Dr. Saraiya has participated in multiple research trials including Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, Vaccine, and Pain Management among others.

Faheem Shaikh M.D. - Dr Faheem Shaikh is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with 16 years of clinical experience. His interest in public health has led to his position as a hospitalist at the local Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Having always been a scholar, Dr Shaikh serves as faculty and as a preceptor for local universities. Moving from publications to clinical research has been seamless as he has joined the Birmingham Clinical Research Unit, an independent clinical research site with over 20 years of research experience. The staff of providers and study coordinators holds over 50 years of research experience combined. They are a multi-therapeutic site where Dr Shaikh's astute ability to read clinical labs, among other clinical skill assets. Dr. Shaikh has quickly divulged into Alcanza's centralized processes for the enhancement of his site's processes and robust clinical trial experience.

Marc Shay M.D Dr. Marc Shay is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who has been conducting clinical research trials for over 24 years. As a Principal Investigator and Director of Psychiatry trials, he has participated in nearly 150 trials, making him well-versed in research required assessments, rating scales, and all-around quality management throughout trial conduction. His clinical trial experience involves participation in therapeutic indications such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Alzheimer’s Disease, Binge-eating disorder, among other criteria. His site, ActivMed, has been participating in trials for over 27 years and has built a growing database of 25,000+ participants. As surrounding populations continue to expand, the site has maintained active outreach efforts to continue the growth and diversification of their database for continued conduction of clinical trials within a plethora of therapeutic arenas.

Vivian Tamayo, M.D. / OB/GYN, MASH/MAFLD, Obesity, Women's Health Dr. Vivian Tamayo is a Board-Certified OB/GYN and certified HIV Specialist. With over 20 years of clinical experience and 3+ years of research experience, Dr. Tamayo adds a level of specialty to the Mayaguez site that has quickly added versatility to the site's overall trial conduction capabilities. Dr. Tamayo is enthusiastic about accepting new challenges that allow her to apply her diverse professional experience to improve the health of her community, specifically from a population management and public health perspective. She is a keen strategic planner who believes that the formula for success for any given project is effective communication, teamwork and leading with an example of passion and compromise. Among her research trial experience, Dr. Tamayo has participated in the conduction of trials varying within a plethora of indications, among those, NASH/MASH, Liver Fibrosis, Cirrhosis, MASLD, SHTG, PrEP, HIV, Vaccine, HIV prevention in Mother-to-Child transmission, Maternal Infant studies, and other indications. Additionally, Dr. Tamayo is a published physician and bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing her to treat a more diverse patient population for any given clinical setting.

Adam Tanzer M.D Dr. Adam Tanzer is a Board-Certified and well published Emergency Medicine physician with over 21 years of clinical experience. Although having only started his clinical research experience at the ActivMed research site in 2023, Dr. Tanzer has quickly diversified his research experience by conducting trials in an array of therapeutic areas. Among the criteria, he has participated in trials within Immunology/Vaccine, Cardiology, and Hepatology, among others. The ActivMed site is well staffed and maintains great clinical expertise, enrollment goal achievement, consistency in data quality/integrity, exceptional lab oversight, and thoroughly trained within ICF processes for proper occurrence reporting. Dr. Harish Thakkar M.D Dr. Harish Thakkar is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with 28 years of clinical experience. Dr. Hiten Upadhyay is a principal investigator at Accel Research Sites St. Petersburg location. Dr. Upadhyay has been practicing emergency medicine for more than 20 years and has served as a principal investigator with Accel Research Sites since 2021. He has completed several COVID-19 clinical trials as a principal investigator, with expertise in emergency and general medicine.  Dr. Upadhyay is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He is board certified in emergency medicine with the ABEM. He graduated from Wayne State School of Medicine with a doctor's degree in medicine in 1997 before completing his residency in emergency medicine at Wayne State in 2000. Dr. Upadhyay currently has credentials at four local hospitals as an emergency department staff physician or staff physician in the trauma department. 

Timothy Wierzbicki M.D. - Dr. Timothy Wierzbicki is a Board-Certified Neurologist and is the former owner of the Brain & Spine Institute, which he founded in 2013. He has participated in clinical research since the year 2000, becoming the primary site PI in 2018. His research site is embedded within his practice, offering his patients alternative solutions to current medical practices. His expertise in neurology has allowed him to work on trials involving Alzheimer’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Migraine Headaches, Epilepsy, among other neurological conditions. Dr. Wierzbicki has conducted trials with all major pharmaceutical Sponsors & CRO's within phases II-IV.

Bram Wieskopf M.D. - Dr. Bram Wieskopf is a Board Certified and Published Internal Medicine physician with 32+ years of clinical experience and 25+ years of research experience. Given that he early on devoted his medical career to the world of research, as a leading PI and Medical Director of his site, Dr. Wieskopf has conducted over 150 trials varying in multiple therapeutic areas. Located in Woodstock, Georgia, the North Georgia Clinical Research (NGCR) site has maintained a very well-versed patient population, both demographically and therapeutically. The site has successfully enrolled for trials researching conditions such as COPD/Asthma, OA/CLBP/RA/RLS, Hypertension/Hypercholesterolemia/Obesity/DMT2, ED/Women's Health, IBS/UTI, Alzheimer's, Cancer Treatments, among other conditions. NGCR alongside Dr. Wieskopf uphold the highest integrity in accordance with good clinical practice and continue to demonstrate diligence to maintain the highest standard of care for their patient population.
