Sureka Bollepalli M.D.
Dr. Sureka Bollepalli is a Board-Certified Endocrinologist with more than 26 years of clinical experience and over two decades of research expertise, having led and participated in numerous NIH- and industry-sponsored clinical trials. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Bollepalli has established herself as a highly respected physician and thought leader, supported by an extensive publication record and multiple professional recognitions for excellence in patient care and research. Dr. Bollepalli serves as the CEO and Medical Director of Tampa Bay Medical Research, where she plays an integral role in all phases of clinical research, including protocol development, study execution as Principal Investigator, data analysis, and manuscript publication. Her comprehensive involvement ensures scientific rigor, operational excellence, and patient-centered outcomes across studies. In addition to her research leadership, Dr. Bollepalli has dedicated over 20 years to academic medicine as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida. In this role, she has delivered numerous lectures on diabetes, obesity, and metabolic disease, educating undergraduate students, nursing and medical students, residents, and Endocrinology fellows. Her academic background has reinforced her belief in the critical importance of patient education as a cornerstone of effective clinical care. Dr. Bollepalli’s clinical and research expertise in metabolic diseases—including type 2 diabetes and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)—has provided patients with access to innovative, emerging therapies. She is deeply committed to preventive care and community health, having launched a community-based initiative offering free FibroScan® screenings to identify individuals at risk for NASH. Through this program, she also provides education on disease progression and available treatment options, further advancing early detection and intervention within the community.

Srikanth Malempati, MD
Dr. Srikanth Malempati is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and experienced clinical research investigator based in Clearwater, Florida. He has served as a Principal Investigator at Tampa Bay Medical Research since 2013, leading numerous Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials across a wide range of therapeutic areas. His research experience includes cardiovascular, dermatology, musculoskeletal, urology, and vaccine studies, with particularly strong expertise in metabolic, diabetes, obesity, and NASH-related trials. Dr. Malempati combines robust clinical practice experience with extensive research involvement, making him a versatile and reliable investigator for complex clinical studies.
