Dr. Karlo Perez-Santiago M.D. is a newly Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician who is dedicating their medical career immediately to the world of research. Being motivated in the practices of Internal Medicine, Dr. Perez-Santiago remains readily available to any research trial opportunities presented. At the newly established Mayaguez site, Dr. Perez-Santiago already is completing anywhere between 3 to 5 Fibroscans daily for participants seeking medicinal advances within MASH trials. As a bilingual physician, he has shown immediate interest for the development of relationships surrounding the Mayaguez community, and thus has already aided in creating a strong foundation for the clinic’s internal database population. Being well equipped for success, the Mayaguez site remains eager to bring research trial opportunities to the island’s location given the lack of research opportunities previously present. Dr. Perez-Santiago has early on established strong relationships with current medical practices among other facilities, for future referral opportunities and follow through of trial enrollment success.
