Alcanza Clinical Research Expands Reach and CNS Capabilities with Acquisition of Vertex Research

BOSTON, MA, April 11, 2023   ̶   Alcanza Clinical Research, a mission-focused investigator site network, announces the acquisition of Vertex Research Group, an investigator site based in Clermont, Florida, that specializes in psychiatry and neurology indications.

“The drug development pipeline for CNS indications is thriving,” said Carlos Orantes, CEO of Alcanza.  “The addition of Vertex strengthens our capabilities to better address huge and growing unmet medical needs in dementia, depression, anxiety, and related areas, especially in older populations. Their location in greater Orlando provides access to a diverse range of patients in one of the fastest growing cities in Florida.”

Vertex Research Group will retain its name. Dr. Lall will continue in the role of medical director and remain as a principal investigator of the site.
